Jay's Chicken

I've told you before about Jay's Chicken. This amazing process was repeated last night at the American Legion's annual Chicken and Sweetcorn fundraiser. (I hope this slideshow thingy works!)

I am feeling like a big slobbering hungry dog again :)

Such a lot of fun and feasting. Was it a big get-together?

Hi W.G. - It was delish! Yes, they serve about 300 people. I only saw 6 tanks going - 48 halves per tank. That's a lot of chicken!

Hey, Mike - thanks! If you ever get the opportunity, I strongly suggest you try Jay's Chicken. It's the bomb (as the grandson says).

Sally,
Great slideshow! Wow does that bring back memories! I see most of the ol' crew is still doing it. Wish I still was! I heard on KLGA yesterday that it was to be last night...one of these times, I'd like to know ahead of time and take the day off to come up and help again. Such fun, and such a lot of work!
Thanks for posting this!!!

Oh, Glenda! Damn!! I should have called you. I'm so sorry. It was great fun. Jay and Shayne left for Knoxville today. Lucky ducks.

Hi Jenny - Thanks for the compliment. It did turn out good considering it was showering at the time.

Goodness Sally that is just the best food - outside, lots of happy friends all in one place to visit! Glorious! It worked like a charm.

Hi Tanna - Yep. We look forward to this feed every year. Too bad it was raining a bit.
